The Global Sourcing 100®, produced annually by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP)®, is devoted to featuring the best of today's leading outsourcing service providers and tomorrow's rising stars. Companies were judged as the world’s best outsourcing service providers and advisors globally. Relative rankings, selection process details and company strengths were featured in a special advertising section produced by IAOP in the May 20, 2012 Fortune 500 issue of FORTUNE® magazine.
Sutherland was honored on April 12, 2013 at the inaugural Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Business Awards ceremony at the in Alexandria, LA. The winners were selected among nominees made by the Chamber Board of Directors and by Chamber members. Chamber member representatives voted via ballots received in the mail. Chamber member votes counted for 25% of the decision with 75% from a panel of three judges composed of Chamber executives from other communities in Louisiana. Winners in each of the twelve categories were named at the red carpet event with Lieutenant Governor Jay Dardenne serving as the Master of Ceremonies. "The Chamber congratulates each of the winners," said Deborah Randolph, President, Central LA Chamber of Commerce. "These businesses and industries are pillars of the community. This was their night to shine."
This award recognizes corporate locations and investments focusing on both community investments and the economic developers responsible for securing that investment. Sutherland Global was recognized under the Community Impact category. Sutherland invested $2.9 million to revitalize a 40,000-square-foot building for its business process outsourcing functions. We created 600 new direct jobs, with the project also resulting in an estimated 421 new indirect jobs, for a total of more than 1,000 new jobs in Central Louisiana. The reaction to the announcement was immediate. In its first “Projects of the Year” Awards, fDi Magazine recognized the best economic developments in jurisdictions around the world. The awards highlight the best greenfield investments in 2012. fDi Intelligence, a division of the Financial Times, owns a database which tracks cross border investments across all sectors and countries worldwide encompassing more than 16,000 projects last year. In the Global Best Outsourcing Projects category, Sutherland’s decision to establish a global delivery center in Mona, Jamaica earned runner-up recognition as a global top three project. Sutherland’s initiative stood out based on its strong job creation and potential for 3,000 new hires as well as its “outsourcing with a conscience” philosophy which is the foundation of a unique delivery model, placed in a university campus, providing an ideal scenario to offer jobs to existing students and recent graduates while providing real world workforce training and skills enhancement. “It is an investment that will benefit the area, and that makes for a successful FDI project," said fDi Magazine editor Courtney Fingar.

Organized by The Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines and The Business Processing Association of the Philippines, the International ICT Awards recognizes outstanding performance and contribution by organizations and individuals within the sector every year. Sutherland, which set up its first facility in the Philippines in mid 2005 has now expanded to six locations in the country with over 10,000 employees providing integrated BPO services to the company’s Fortune 1000 Global clients. Sutherland’s expansion in the Philippines has been fuelled by continued growth in the company’s existing outsourcing engagements as well as the addition of several new clients.

The Philippine Quality Award is the highest level of national recognition for exemplary organizational performance. Established through Executive Order No. 448, issued by former President Fidel V. Service & Support Professionals Association (SSPA) Awards recognize technology companies who display exceptional leadership, innovation and commitment in both service excellence and the development and implementation of best practices. It is the only industry peer recognition award and has become one of the highest honors in the service and support industry.
Sutherland Global Services received top honors at the 2008 Process Excellence Awards held by the International Quality & Productivity Center (IQPC). Sutherland secured the top spot overcoming stiff competition from some of the world’s largest corporations in the financial services, technology and energy industries. Sutherland won first place in the “BEST SERVICE & TRANSACTION PROCESS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT” category.

Sutherland’s project showcased the process development and productivity enhancements that it achieved through the implementation of an extremely successful Six Sigma project on behalf of one of the world’s largest telecommunications companies. Sutherland leveraged the Six Sigma quality framework to develop a decision tree-based support methodology and to implement an automated knowledge management process that ensured faster resolution of customer transactions and improved its client’s overall end-user customer experience.
The Process Excellence Awards were established to honor, recognize and promote Six Sigma and Process Excellence projects that demonstrate true best practices and to expand and increase the uptake of Six Sigma and Process Excellence methodology globally.

Sutherland Received Top Honors in the 2008 Six Sigma Case Study Presentation Contest
Sutherland Global Services received top honors in the 2008 Six Sigma Case Study Presentation Contest held by the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) and the Quality Council of India (QCI). Sutherland secured the top spot for the second consecutive year overcoming competition from global players in the technology and BPO industry.
Sutherland was voted best in the Information Technology Enabled Services category with exceptionally high points for delivering measurable results to its clients, as well as its proven ability to implement its quality initiatives with on-time completion.
The Six Sigma Case Study Contest recognizes organizations that are able to drive measurable business results through continuous process innovation while promoting quality awareness and sharing of best practices across different industries.
Sutherland’s case study showcased the process development and productivity enhancements that were achieved through the implementation of Six Sigma projects for two of the world’s largest PC manufacturers. Sutherland used the Six Sigma quality framework to develop a data driven approach aimed at identifying and eliminating process inefficiencies associated with maximizing the lifetime value of its clients’ customers. The resulting process improvements increased customer satisfaction levels and reliability of service for both the clients.
