Sutherland and Guardian Group to Present on How to Embrace Automation Strategically at Upcoming Digital Convergence Conference

ROCHESTER, NY – Sept. 21, 2017 – Companies look to digital transformation to ensure they meet their customers’ needs, keep ahead of the competitive curve and embrace new technologies such as analytics, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning applications. However, before embarking on such transformation journeys, companies need a strategic, digital framework in place – an often overlooked requirement.

“Companies that merely conduct random acts of automation are destined to fail,” said Andy Zimmerman, president of Sutherland Digital. “The automation agenda should be design-led and focused on creating a brilliant experience for customers and employees, and it should be supported by a realistic business case before embarking on a full-scale digital transformation effort.”

Sutherland, a leading process transformation company, helps businesses rethink and rebuild processes for the digital age using design thinking concept and a customer-centric approach. This requires companies to first evaluate holistically their enterprises and collaborate closely with IT teams to ensure overall digital and automation strategies align. By doing so, businesses can successfully break down organizational barriers and create an end-to-end strategy that prioritizes the customer experience.

“Design thinking is in Sutherland’s DNA as a solution-focused approach to identify the ideal customer experience before seeking to centralize, standardize and optimize automation,” Zimmerman said.

Sharing best practices from their partnership, Zimmerman and Paul Traboulay, group COO at Guardian Group, will discuss ‘the art of blending innovation and operational excellence’ on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at the Digital Convergence Conference in New York. Providing insight into their companies’ enterprise-wide analytics agreement, Traboulay will share the Guardian Group’s own drivers for embracing automation and its digital transformation journey as the largest provider of insurance services in Trinidad and Tobago.

Zimmerman will expand on the topic and share Sutherland’s design solution for the Guardian Group to deploy automation in all aspects of its business, its overall process transformation strategy and guidance for companies to achieve process excellence while managing risk.

Their panel, “The Art of Blending Innovation and Operational Excellence,” will also address at a high-level how executives can balance innovation, speed and excellence within an organization.
