The client’s QA maturity was low: testing lacked automation, coverage was fragmented across UI, API, and mobile, and tests typically took 4-6 days for regressions. There was no continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline, and security testing was disconnected. The lack of test data management and automation caused long wait times, inconsistent quality, and delayed releases.

Comprehensive test transformation using CloudTestr + test engineering excellence
To address our client’s challenges, Sutherland introduced CloudTestr, an end-to-end test automation platform that eliminates manual coding, boosting efficiency and reducing errors. CloudTestr, available both as cloud and on-prem deployments, streamlines test management, enables parallel execution, and automates documentation, improving audit and compliance. Leveraging CloudTestr, we transformed the client’s testing landscape by strategically enhancing four critical areas.
- UI Test Automation. We implemented a comprehensive automation framework to streamline the client’s regression testing, reducing the time required from 4-6 days to just six hours. This accelerated the release process, enabling quicker, more reliable updates and improving overall product quality.
- Quality Engineering CoE. We established a fully operational offshore testing lab for functional, security, integration, and performance testing. This ensured zero critical defects and enabled a seamless cloud migration, significantly enhancing the client’s operational efficiency.
